Full-Range Jinko Solar Panel Review
Jinko Solar panels are considered tier 1 solar panels, with the manufacturer boasting to be “The Most Reliable Solar Brand on The Planet”. That’s a big claim, so how does it hold up? Let’s take a look at the facts so you can decide if Jinko Solar panels are right for your roof.
Off the bat, the Jinko Solar panel range comes with a lot of choice, and includes their Cheetah, Tiger Pro, Tiger Neo, and Tiger series panels.
This Jinko Solar panel review page will look at each option so you can get a good understanding of:
- Jinko solar panel quality, and;
- Jinko solar panel efficiency.
Here we go.
Tiger Pro
The Tiger Pro series efficiency sits at the upper end of the spectrum with solar panel efficiency ratings over 21%.
The Tiger Pro Series offers a traditional monofacial model suitable for installation on your roof, as well as a bifacial module.
Bifacial solar panels produce solar power from both sides of the panel and are generally used for ground mounted solar farms, so you don’t need to worry about that option if you’re looking for a solar panel to stick on your roof!

Tiger
Tiger Series panels are part of Jinko Solar’s value range.
They use “Multi-Busbar Solar Cell Technology” and “Reduced Hot Spot Loss” to improve light trapping and current collecting. What does this mean you ask? This is tech which aims to increase the output and dependability of the solar panel, suggesting you’ll get more bang for your buck on your solar system.
In short, Jinko Tiger Series panels are commonly installed on the roofs of Australian homes, with a budget price tag.

Jinko’s Solar positions the Tiger Neo as their most premium panel, offering impressive power ratings, and impressive efficiency.
The warranty terms are nothing to sneeze at either, and should go a long way in giving you peace of mind that your solar investment is well protected.

Cheetah
Falling within their “Value Series”, Jinko Cheetah panels are a more affordable option favoured by those looking to keep the upfront cost of their solar system low.
Cheetah panels use ’Half-Cell’ technology.
When shade falls over standard full-cell solar panels it doesn’t just reduce the power generated in that corner of the panel, it drops the output of the whole cell! Crazy, right?
Half-cell panels are effectively two solar panels in one. If half the panel is shaded, the other cell can hum along at full capacity because it’s working independently. Half-cell solar panels often boast higher output ratings than traditional solar panels.
If you have a challenging roof which gets a bit of shade then Cheetah panels might be a good option to seek out some additional solar savings. Another option for a shaded roof are micro inverters which you can read about here.

Jinko Solar Panel Warranty
There are two main things you want to ask yourself when it comes to warranties…
Can I trust my solar installer will resolve my claim?
Make sure you purchase your solar panels from a dependable solar installer with proven after sales support and customer service.
Always ask for evidence of:
- Any additional warranty they personally offer on the solar system they’ve quoted you on
- Any guarantee they they provide on their installation of the solar system and workmanship
- Whether they have their own dedicated customer service team in Australia with an established claims procedure
They’re going to be your first point of contact should anything happen to your solar system so check that they can be relied on before you buy – or request 3 free solar quotes from us and we’ll match you with CEC accredited solar installers! No stress, just great solar quotes.
Does my solar inverter and solar panel manufacturer have an Aussie presence?
Before you lock in your solar system, make sure both the solar inverter and solar panel manufacturers have a physical office in Australia that can help you if anything goes wrong.
Ideally you want to see they have a lengthy history of doing business in Australia and they’ve not just recently popped up. They might disappear just as fast.
This will give you confidence that if your solar installer goes out of business or disputes the product warranty, you’ll be dealing with someone close to home if you need to contact the solar panel manufacturers directly instead.
Jinko Solar panels warranty review. Pass or fail?
All Jinko Solar panels come with limited warranties, including:
- Product Warranty – defects
- Performance Warranty – guarantee on the efficiency of the panels as they age;
They also have a Sydney office to help get you through the claims process if you ever need it (hopefully you won’t).
